Making Up Cozy Ambiance

It’s lovely coming home to a nice house to shed off your day’s work stress and tiredness. This is what I’m thinking when we started renovating our home for my daughter’s debut because due to old age our home became dull and lonely to look at. Its gray washed walls always give me a somewhat sad feeling when I come home and it’s just my kids’ presence that changes my mood. I always write the importance of a homey and happy environment to create a good ambiance so I decided to make it a reality for our own home.

It’s different now because we painted the walls with Sasha yellow shade and remove the walls of the biggest room to make way for a spacious and fresh looking dining room. It’s a big transformation for our house as our friends and neighbors told us when they attended my daughter’s debut and my son’s 12th birthday. It suddenly feels so cool, relaxing and so refreshing because the door near our dining room gives us sunlight in the morning and fresh cool air the whole day.

With this partial renovation that we did before the big event I was inspired to plan for the kitchen renovation as I feel it should be given special attention too. Well it can wait for the summer vacation because we need to save funds before we plunge to another set of expenses. I’m planning now and looking for nice accessories, kitchen utensils, cooking equipment and good furniture with oak veneer make for my dream kitchen in the future. Since we all love cooking and baking we really need to make our cooking area one of the best place in our home.

Relaxing Bonding Weekend

It was a relaxed and bonding time last weekend when we had extra day to add to our rest days, indeed it was a worthwhile long weekend for the whole family. Well not so relaxing for dear husband because he took the licensure exam for teachers last Sunday but it felt good that at last it was over and we’ll just have to wait for the result in a couple of weeks, around 6-7 to be exact. Anyway before the exam we urged him to relax a bit and watch television with us where we fondly watched a certain funny love story on the street.

I also posed as nanny to my niece’ baby Athena which I’m doing for several weekends already and loving it. The whole family is so happy with the holiday which made the weekend longer than usual. We also had some singing and playing of the instruments, my two daughters had a duet. Gen played the guitar and sang with Ruth. Their voices blended well because Ruth is soprano-like and Gen is alto.

I saw Ruth trying Gen’s guitar which she seldom do because she only knows keyboard. This is the reason why I suddenly browse guitar center company because my three kids are now interested in guitar unlike before when Gen is the only one handling guitar. It’s a nice feeling for me because I myself love playing guitar but due to lack of time I failed learning it. It’s good having kids playing musical instruments at home because it brings about a relaxing happy ambiance.

3 Things That Can Ruin a BBQ in a Hurry

During the summer months, you might want to have a few friends over for a BBQ. This is always a good time, as you can relax, have a few drinks, and enjoy the fresh air. Your BBQ can be ruined very quickly, however, if you don’t prepare for a few things that could potentially go wrong.

Wasps and Mosquitoes
You can expect a few bugs to crash the party, as this is perfectly normal. If you have a number of nests in your yard, however, it can quickly become overwhelming. In situations where you notice an infestation of wasps or mosquito nests before your BBQ, call a home pest control company to eradicate them before having people over.

Running Out of Propane
There is nothing worse than running out of propane before you have had a chance to finish cooking. To avoid this problem, make sure that you have a backup tank on hand before the start of your BBQ.

Burning the Food

Overcooking or burning the foods is also a disastrous mistake to make during your event. You can provide insurance against this happening by having extra food in the freezer. That way, you can simply try again should you make a mistake.

Homemade Facial Mask

Did you experience having excess tan in your face due to sunlight? In this tropical country we’re living in this problem can’t be prevented sometimes because some skin are sensitive and we forgot to put sun’s protection in our face. The UV rays of the sun can really do harm so we better stay out of it. Well back to excess tan in your face, I've got some solutions or you can call it beauty tips for you! This concoction is very good in removing the tan from the face due to prolonged exposure to sunlight brought about by staying too long in the beach or gardening in the sunlight without face protection.

Whatever the reason is I'm sharing some homemade tips for you! We have what I call the Egg and Honey Facial Mask which you can prepare in your home. Prepare the ingredients for this one which are Egg whites, Honey and a piece of bowl. Now for the procedure: Mix together the egg white and honey in a large bowl. Stir the mixture until it becomes sticky and thick. Apply to the damaged face for 5 minutes and wash face thoroughly with a mild facial soap. Sometimes it would be advisable to wash face with lukewarm water alone to avoid skin complications of sun-burned damaged skin. So what do you think? Try this now!

Holiday Family Bonding

There will be a holiday again on the 24th of this month for the Feast of Sacrifice and the whole family is looking forward to a day of bonding together. The kids are planning to have a day of playing music together with keyboards and guitar. As their school activities give them no time for their hobbies they use holidays to practice their crafts and love for music.

They love to browse various musical instruments online because they can get updated on the new technologies and look of their favorite musical instruments. They also get to see some really nice accessories like the cover for fender roc pro 700 and cute things for guitar. Oh I love those accessories also and will see if I can sneak some in my budget for Gen.
